Although
Breast Cancer Awareness Month has become somewhat of a media circus
(and even occasionally a blatant attempt to sell-out an annual stock
of pink ribbons) it manages to unite women in a common cause, and more
importantly provides a means for hope and affirmation for those suffering
with the disease.
This year,
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is being marked worldwide with walks,
runs, breakfasts, and other ways to raise money for the campaign. It
also provides a way to ratchet up the public conversation on the breast
cancer causes, risks, treatment,
prevention
and current research conducted in the fight against breast cancer.
